Message from the Chairperson
Welcome to International Medical College (IMC). It was established by the International Medicare Limited (IML) in 2000. I, together with my fellow Board of Directors (BOD) of IML are aware of, and committed to, our responsibilities and duties as Board members to do whatever is in the best interest of the organization.
I am honored to serve as the Chairperson of the IML Board of Directors. I am pleased to lead IML Board of Directors during a historic time of the organization, and excited to see where we go next. With the support of all members of our IML and IMC family, there is nothing we can't achieve as we strive to serve our students, our patients, our global community, and Bangladesh. Given that the Board is still in many ways adjusting to the challenges of a pandemic situation and directing and controlling the affairs of a higher medical education in the process of transitioning from an idea to a fully established organization, many challenges lie before us. Still, I believe that we can be successful and achieve our goals of real transition, if we all work together in a transparent and collaborative manner in which there is mutual respect and on-going dialogue. We have been able to establish the medical college, hospital, nursing and health technology institutes with the vision and values that underpin the concept of inclusiveness, spirit of the liberation of Bangladesh and community engagement in the heart of it. However, we realize that achieving the vision to the fullest would be a journey that would never end.
The IML supported medical college, hospital and other para-medical/support institutions reflects our vision to become a 'Centre of Excellence' comparable to one of the best in the world for producing professionals with leadership quality in medical technology and services, innovation and management. The institutions were founded on the idea that theoretical application must be applicable to the practical 'real life' current skills. However, the major goal initiated by the founders and management was to build an academic institution that competes, in national and global standing, any top world ranked medical college. IML and its institutions are on an unstoppable path and our commitment to excellence is ever expanding, through new quality-assurance policies, the beginning of international accreditation efforts, and the expansion into new areas of study. Our collaborations with world renowned prestigious medical institutions will open a new horizon to the high-quality education that is on offer on our campuses. I believe IML and its supported organizations like
IMC, IMCH, INC, IHTU etc. are different from other medical institutions in several ways. One of the unique features is the concept of 'career-focused integrated learning, which would equip students with the technical knowledge and skills to become successful in their life.
We want IML institution students stand out in their workplace. For realizing the vision, we are committed to provide outstanding guidance and leadership, talented faculty, advanced physical facilities, and alliances with global institutions for academic, skill practice and research excellence. Currently, we have located in our own purpose built campus in Gazipur District (near Dhaka) and providing ample space for academic, residential and entertaining activities for our students.
I believe that ALLAH will help us make our dream come true when we stand on the principles of our TRUST and commit ourselves to achieving the goal. In this regard, we acknowledge the abundant blessings ALLAH has bestowed on our organization. Students can look forward to stimulating, productive, and rewarding learning experiences that will equip them for lifelong learning and responsibility as global citizens.
